Africa Awaits No Longer – Little Kulala, Sossusvlei

In August 2000 I founded Africa Awaits Tours and Safaris, a bespoke tour operating company that specialises in organising self-drive holidays and fly-in safaris. Best part was that I needed to know my product, and therefore got to travel to and experience first hand numerous fabulous hotels, guest houses and lodges. And occasionally I accommpanied super special clients and friends on the trips that I organised for them. Always with camera in hand. Forever the Tourist. This blog serves as a medium to bring you info on my favourites spots and most memorable experiences …..

Whilst looking back, the first lodge that comes to mind is Little Kulala in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve near Sossusvlei – NAMIBIA. I stayed here with friend and client Catherine Ambrose from the States with her 8 year old daughter Manon, in September 2008. We enjoyed a trip to the red dunes of the Sossusvlei, took wilderness walks in the desert and visited the Sesriem Canyon. It was fabulous! Little Kulala is a Wilderness Safaris Lodge and can be accessed by road or by light aircraft.

Cant recommend it enough – personally I’m desperate to get back. For more see and Little Kulala.
