At Londolozi Game Reserve, the game watching gods were smiling upon me and I truly did have incredible game viewing experiences. One of these was to watch lions mating. They mate for a period of three days, one female with one or more males, and mating takes place approximately every fifteen minutes and lasts perhaps one. The sounds and growls and nip to the neck show that the ritual is not without affection.

Apologies that the pics are out of focus, I had just got a new lens. Such a loss.
