Florida, West Palm Beach!

A previous visit to Kissimmee, South of Orlando, had not given me a very different look at Florida. One that included air boats on the Everglades, the Kennedy Space Station and Sea World. All a world away from West Palm Beach and its very beautiful people, among them the friends that I was staying with.

The address was The Equestrian Club Estates, Wellington, West Palm Beach. Residents are horse-orientated. At the time of my visit there was an International Grand Prix on, which I visited.

Beautiful, rural, wonderful for walks and horse riding. Water ways run throughout the estate, they have ‘gators in them so watch your toes whilst wading. Its peaceful and the air is clean and fresh. Good post flights and city slicking.

Oh, and Bruce Springsteen keeps a home across from the one I was staying in. He was there with daughter Jessie who was competing in the show jumping. It’s the one below. Right on the water’s edge. I did not see The Boss himself despite a fair amount of stalking. Although this in itself had much cool about it.
