I Dream of Namibia and A Visit – Road Trip Wanted!

Dreams and longing for Namibia! It’s been nearly two years since my last trip, and longer since the last overland, which is of course the best way to experience any country – specifically one as vast and unspoilt as Namibia. This is a photo of the Fish River Canyon, from one of the popular look out points. The Fish River Canyon is second in size only to the Grand Canyon, is 161 kilometers long, nearly 27 kilometers wide and up to 549 meters deep. WOW! Even having read these facts when I arrived at the look out point I was completely amazed and impressed by its breathtaking beauty.

I shared my water with these thirsty starlings, it was December, 42°C and oh so dry.
