Fluent in travel, this is a look at discoveries happened upon as The Incidental Tourist.
A natural traveller, story teller and photographer, Cape Town and surrounds are home, with anecdotes and reviews from my visits to Ireland, Vietnam, Italy, Mexico, Honduras, Argentina, Uruguay, Benin, Bali, Israel, USA, UK, Netherlands, France and Belgium featured too. Proudly African, I have a special appreciation for #AfriTravel in Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Madagascar and my beloved South Africa where I roadtrip and explore as often as possible. My more recent trips were to Rwanda followed by Gorilla Trekking in Uganda with Nomad Tours.
My heart lies in Conservation with specific focus on The Seals of Nam, our precious Rhino and the desperate need to stop Overfishing. I believe that a difference can be made and often speak out about Animal Rights and Environmental issues. My time at Kruger's Tintswalo Lodge in support of their Trec Community taught me much and I am proud to be working with Greenpop as an official ambassador.
This year I was lucky enough to work with South African Tourism on their #MeetSouthAfrica bloggers campaign, travelling the country and spreading the SA love. I am one of the Chapter Leaders of Travel Massive Cape Town and a regular visitor to Grootbos Private Game Reserve and proud contributor to their blog.
World of Heroes SA have equipped me with all that I need to capture my experiences as one of their #TravelHeroes.
In-between there is delicious food to be enjoyed as well as a variety of accommodation establishments to be reviewed.
I'm thrilled to have won the Travelstart 2013 Blogger Experience Travel Writer's competition and do much freelance and content writing.
My hope is that my words will inspire, my photographs draw in and my passion for art, people and beautiful places encourage you to travel. Any feedback is most welcome.
Find me on Rebel Mouse and Glipho as well as a collection of my Freelance Writing here.
