Sneaky game viewing from the Hide at Pongola Game Reserve!

One of sneakiest ways to watch game and birds in game reserves is from a hide, a structure build to blend into the environment and hide us noisy humans so that we can quietly watch and photograph the game. I spent some time in the hide at Pongola Game Reserve whilst staying at White Elephant, and from my look out post caught glimpses of vervet monkeys, impala, nyala, warthogs, terapins and unbelievable birds.

Male Nyala having a drink – beautiful animals most prolific in the KZN area.

These warthogs came down for a drink and then a complete roly poly in the red mud.
