Whilst on a boat off Robben Island a while back, watching the Balloon Bloke float across to mainland, I had the company of some rather extraordinary people from the press and local blog scene. One of them was Kathryn of Becoming You, a place of beauty, inspiration and parenting insight. We were green-tinged by the end of the day, bonded by the cold and wet, and have remained in touch since, holding on to an experience we’ll always remember.

Matjiesfontein - Unlike love locks on European bridges, here the promise of love is carved into the cacti in the garden. I was tempted to leave my mark, but took photos instead, wondering how many relationships this signing of commitment has held strong.
Love this bag. Think it could be sold at any one of the farms and stores I’ve visited in the last two weeks. Even at the family distillery.
