The Olive Branch, Prince Albert!

The Olive Branch in Prince Albert is owned and passionately run by very interesting and charming Bokkie Botha, who has a love for Mediterranean food. Al fresco dining in this intimate dining room with its incredible aromas and lovingly produced food is a special experience. We had freshly baked bread, a tomato and blue cheese tart, thinly sliced parma ham and beautifully fresh figs for lunch … Wow! Absolutely delicious. There is such joy to be had in the simple wholesomeness of lovingly produced food, and that’s exactly what you find at The Olive Branch.

The setting is a gorgeous Victorian house and a garden filled with herbs and vegetables, the decor is colourful and the charming cook and waiter an absolute delight. Here are some pics of the bread being lovingly readied … Heaven lives in the smell of freshly baked bread.

Location is Mark Street (the last building at the end), Prince Albert, Klein Karoo. Tel 0235411821. Open two nights a week, according to reservations, so booking is essential.
