The Pantheon, From Pagan Temple To Wonder Of The World!

Boasting the widest masonry dome in Europe with a hole that provides light and structural support, an enormous triangular pediment, sixteen pink and grey granite columns, ridiculously large doors, walls that are 6.2m thick, marble decorations and the darling of the Renaissance art world Raphael’s tombThe Pantheon is a must visit.  

Recommendation – There’s a really good gelateria called Cremeria Monforte on the Pantheon’s right. Stop there for a taste of gelato heaven.
