Tomorrow, I head to Singapore.

Singapore. – Tomorrow I head to Singapore on a Lesley Simpson Communications Press Trip, to spend five days learning more about this modern city-state and island country in Southeast Asia.

Lying off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula and 137 kilometres north of the equator, the country’s territory consists of the diamond-shaped main island, referred to as Singapore Island, as well as more than 60 smaller islets.

We will be hosted by the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in their Shangri-La Flagship Hotel Singapore, the Shangri-La Sentosa Resort and the Hotel Jen Orchard gateway right on the famous Orchard Road. Our flights generously sponsored by Singapore Airlines.

I’ve never been to Singapore and can’t wait to explore this modern city, one dispersed with history, tradition and culture. Our program includes visits to the Singapore Flyer, Peranakan Museum, a cable car ride to the iconic hilltop, Gardens by the Bay, various Sentosa Island tours and enough time at leisure for our own explorations. It’s going to be amazing.

Follow me on Instagram and Twitter while I’m there. Pics and posts to follow. For more details of what awaits me, look at Your Singapore and the Singapore Tourism Board.

Thank you all for this remarkable opportunity!
