Villa Rosa Dei Venti, Bloubergstrand!

Icon Villas recently invited me to the viewing of a new addition to their villa portfolio, Villa Rosa Dei Venti, Italian owned and situated on the rocks in Bloubergstrand.

It truly is a WOW property and even on a rainy Cape night is atmospheric and inviting on every level. Imagine what it will be like in mid Summer. The ocean breaks right there and the iconic view of Table Mountain across the Bay can be seen from most rooms and all decks.

As you enter there is a beautiful angel, from which the house gets its name. The two spacious lounge areas, both with fireplaces, are off the open plan kitchen which has everything a master chef could hope for. There are five double rooms, two singles and a wonderful loft area with sleeper couches for extras – all have unbelievable views.

The wonder doesn’t end there, there is plenty of outdoor space for private reverie, comfortably furnished decks and heated splash pool right in front of the ocean. Even a built-in BBQ for smoke-free entertaining, the South African way.

Icon Villas is an amazing company with fabulous villas on offer, yet what amazed me was the value for money that a Blouberg property offers. With a beach to take long walks on, a restaurant 500m away, full concierge services available, this gorgeous property is available at less than half the price of a property on the Atlantic Seaboard.

I’m going to be recommending this to families and friends travelling to Cape Town, and personally would love to luck out and have a night or two here. Maybe, villa dreams do come true …
