What percentage of the world have you been lucky enough to travel to?

Ever wondered what percentage of the world you’ve travelled to? I have, given that I’m on 40 countries visited, some more than once, and yet ever aware that I haven’t even scraped the surface of what’s out there to be discovered – and aprpeciated. Which means that when I received the link to this interactive map that allows you to ‘scratch’ the countries you’ve been to, I couldn’t resist playing. These are my results.

Apparently the average person sees 7% of the world, which demonstrates the privilege that I have of seeing much more than that. Try your hand at this here, and let me know where you are in your quest to see the world. It’s a big old world, let’s keep exploring it.

Additional Details: TravelSupermarket.com have launched a new interactive tool for aspiring travellers that allows you to keep track and discover what % of the world you’ve seen so far. The new tool lets you scratch out the places you’ve visited, benchmarks your travels compared to iconic world travellers and tells you how much you’ve seen of each continent – and of the world – helping you pick out your next adventure. You can save the map, edit it in future and and share it with your friends.
