#VenusOnTheGo.If I think about it, I currently travel about a third of each month, mostly moving to a new spot every night or two, exploring as much as I can of this wonderful world, but at a pace that does demand much of me.

Most of those who follow my travels won’t be aware of the rather bizarre habit I have of unpacking my whole bag everywhere that I stop, be it in a luxury resort or remotely placed tent, as I really don’t like the ‘smell of suitcase’. I know, crazy.

So I take everything out, and set up a temporary home wherever I am. The next day I pack everything up, and move on to the next spot. This is teaching me to be a lighter packer, and I strive to keep within the 15kg mark for long flights, and one little bag for overnights, but even then I always take too much …

Probably because I literally pack at the very last minute. Always getting my paperwork, gadgets, chargers etc ready and double checked days in advance, the clothes and toiletries I throw together just hours before leaving to the airport. Another thing that needs working on 😉

All this does mean that as I look towards the Summer holidays and few planned breaks to the Golden Gate Nature Reserve, Pongola Game Reserve and even the Cape’s West Coast, I was thrilled to partner with GilletteSA for some much needed guidance.

Of the things that I will be packing, timeously this time, match the casual safari theme that has become my style. They include this wonderful faux leather bag, cute lace-up shoes, a colourful blouse from Poetry, with a purse to match. I love these ivy green sweat pants, perfect for road trips and safari vehicles. There’s also some body products as the season does dry out the skin.

I’m most excited about the Wireless Timer for my camera, which will allow me to capture a whole new set of video and images, more remotely. Again perfect for nature shots. A feather printed scarf, as I never go anywhere without at least 5 or more. And sunglasses for the African sun. But most importantly, this cute Venus Snap Razor (how adorable) that will be my new travel companion – and a touch of Africa …

All perfect for the outdoors, where I am happiest.

I’ve actually been using Venus for years, my old one is world travelled, but this sweet baby is light and tiny and will be my new ‘fit in a bag’ companion. As I don’t like hairiness.

But enough about me. Here’s the good news.

I’m bringing you the incredible #VenusOnTheGo competition where you stand a chance to win the perfect shopping spree worth R16 000 at Topshop. All you need to do, as below:
