Crayfish Lodge. Sea and Country. Overberg style.

Overberg. – I spent a night at Crayfish Lodge Sea & Country Guest House whilst at Grootbos Private Nature Reserve for the #SAWIAwards this weekend. What a delight to make a new Overberg discovery. Perfectly located with an uninterrupted sea view and a pathway right down to the beach. This five star guest house has all the comforts, attention to detail and warm hospitality to ensure a wonderful stay.

Offering two panoramic suites and three atlantic garden rooms, each with their own private patio . Breakfast is either in the sunny dining room or on the balcony overlooking the bay. There’s an honesty bar, nespresso machine and large lounge area to read and relax in. The pool and outdoor shower an extension of the garden and coastline.

I walked down to the rocks in the afternoon and watched the whales at play. Truly a magnificent part of the world De Kelder, only two hours from Cape Town, I recommend it for a weekend break at any time of year. Thank you Reinhard and Sandra for hosting me. Here’s a visual tour of what it looks like.
