A shout out to the brilliant people at Creative Nestlings (TM) on the release of their first coffee table book, What It Takes Book, is a collection of advice from African creatives who have shown that they have what it takes to pursue the creative life – succeed, fail and keep moving forward.

Curated by long standing friend and brilliant creative Dillion S. Phiri, the book features some really incredible creatives that have spoken at their Conversations On Creativity and conference events; Itumeleng Solar Modise on investing in your energy account, Anelisa Mangcu on starting, Andile Buka on bringing life to your work, Tiisetso Molobi on the importance of entrepreneurial ethics as a creative, Nereya Otieno on pacing yourself through self doubt, Gareth Pon on finding your voice, Sindiso Nyonion putting in the work, Maneo Mohale on the illusion of perfection, Rendani Nemakhavhani on collaboration and Atang Tshikare on success as a fantasy. Illustrations by Musonda Kabwe & designed by Abel Siminya of Samuel Africa.
