Good news stories about women achieving their dreams make my heart swell almost as much as inspiring stories out of Africa do. Put the two together and I’m elated, in this case as Ethiopian Airlines Celebrates International Women’s Day with an All Women crew flight to Buenos Aires.
As part of the airline’s philosophy of empowering not only their staff but specifically women, their ‘Inspiring the African girl’ campaign is seeing remarkable results. Today they embark on an all-women flight to celebrate their female staff members on International Women’s Day and simultaneously mark Ethiopian Airline’s inaugural flight to Buenos Aires.

The entire crew of the award-wining and largest Aviation Group in Africa and SKYTRAX certified Four Star Global Airline, from Check-in to Pilot will be made up of women. The captain, Amsale Gualu, was the first woman to become a captain at Ethiopian Airlines in 2010 and will be piloting the flight to Buenos Aires. I wish I was onboard …
