Twitter Chat. – On the 21st of January at 7pm SOuth African time, I will be hosting a #GVITravel Twitter chat as we discuss wildlife conservation in the voluntourism sector and beyond. We will be looking at ethical ways to volunteer with wildlife, how to make a lasting impact and how our actions back at home can affect vulnerable species around the world.

In preparation, please see the questions as below:

Q1: What has been your most amazing wildlife experience?
Q2: Where have you volunteered with wildlife and was it ethical?
Q3: What unethical wildlife options should be avoided?
Q4: Why do you think people still take part in unethical wildlife tourism
Q5: How can we educate people to participate in ethical wildlife tourism?
Q6: How can volunteering organisations make an impact on wildlife conservation?
Q7: How can we conserve wildlife from home?

The hashtag for the chat is #GVIConservation.

GVI runs responsible travel programs all over the world, offering volunteers the opportunity for a hands-on experience by personally contributing to important conservation initiatives and community projects. For more info have a look at GVI and the work that they do here.

GVI will also be giving away a beautiful travel journal and mug from @typoshop to one of the lucky tweeters.
