Kigali. Inside Afrika Hotel.

Rwanda. – With three nights in Kigali and a budget to consider, I stayed at the Inside Afrika Boutique Hotel. A sweet hotel well positioned hotel with 9 large en suite rooms, a pool, great views towards the city and friendly efficient service. Drinks are for sale at reception and a generous breakfast provides daily sustenance.

I met the owner who charmed me into believing that he had no greater priority than my happiness. That I could assure him of. The perfect spot. Exuding Rwandan charm, like he did.

Inside Afrika doesn’t have a restaurant but they are within easy and safe walking distance to a few good ones. I recommend CityBlue Urban Boutique Hotel for sundowners and a meal. Or Hotel des Milles Collines for a treat. The hotel can organise a driver to take you to nearby attractions and offer hotel transfers.

Basically I couldn’t have wanted for more. Affordable, comfortable, spacious, friendly, clean. Those are all buzz words when it comes to accommodation, no matter where it is. Recommended.

Lovely place for relaxing after a big day, that’s what I was doing.

Notes. Carry cash, the credit card machine doesn’t always work. The wifi is in and out of action. I took a local sim card with data on arrival at the airport and used my phone as a hotspot. Easier. For plug-points, the same as the UK.
