As part of their ongoing carnivore research programme, Kwandwe Private Game Reserve recently released two adult cheetahs onto the 22000 ha wilderness area.
They were fitted with radio collars to enable the conservation team to monitor them as they settle into their new environment. The cats, who are brothers, will play an important role in establishing the genetic diversity of Kwandwe’s cheetah population. Kwandwe has played a significant role in cheetah conservation and has been responsible for establishing numerous cheetah coalitions in other game reserves throughout South Africa. Keep up this incredibly important game management Kwandwe.
