Switzerland – From Locarno-Orselina you can reach Cardada in only five minutes, providing you aren’t walking of course. The view offers you a simultaneous look at both Switzerland’s lowest spot, the delta of the Maggia river, as well as the highest spot, Dufourspitze, on the Monte Rosa.

We took the chairlift to the very top and then meandered by food – mostly off course – towards the Capanna lo Stallone for a meal of regional cooking with the speciality polenta dishes cooked in a wood burning oven. Sitting outside in the warm sun, it truly was heavenly.

Other attracations include a reflexology path, Nordic walking trail, playful walks for children, mountain-bike and hiking routes.
