Some places are more like gifts for the soul, rejuvenating escapes, where one is overcome by nature and humbled by true beauty. Papkuilsfontein is such a place. With its warm hosts, three privately placed cottages, a canyon, rock pools to swim in and hectares to walk and explore. It’s magical here, which is why I am happy to book a year in advance, to make sure that I have something phenomenally special on my calendar to look forward to.

See more at http://www.papkuilsfontein.com/ but better still make YOUR booking now.

The renovated barn where meals are served – or better still you can have a delicious three or four course dinner delivered to your cottage. Styling. Take a look at the swimming pool – better in summer for sure. Better still is the rock pool near the canyon for a close-to-nature chilly dip all year round.

Walking in search of those incredible spring flowers – and the rock art.

The kind of personal touch and detail that warms my heart.
