Reunion Island. The Saint-Pierre’s Saturday Market.

Reunion Island. – Everybody loves a good market, especially one that is bursting with fresh fruit and veg, local specialty cuisine, crafted goods, woven baskets, photography, jewellery and hand produced clothing.

I spent a Saturday morning at Saint-Pierre’s market. Money was spent, litchis and annanas eaten, chats were had with the growers. My kind of shopping experience.

It’s right on the coastline too, with a skate park next door.

This little chicken went to market, this little chicken went home.

Barbecue to go. Very popular and just one of many options.

Water, just right there. Love that you can drink the water on the island.

Note: I don’t eat any meat so these pics of chics on the market were for observation purposes only. Good however to see trading back at basics, with free-range chickens are the only choice.
