Rishikesh, situated on the banks of the Holy Mother Ganga river in the foothills of the Himalaya, is a place of ancient spiritual practices that hold the vibration of thousands of years of yoga, meditation and Ayurveda.
Today I head there to join a transformational retreat that will take me deeper into my commitment to health, wellness and yoga, staying in an ashram with the instructors, and joining a small group at the retreat center each day for practice, workshops and meditation. Overlooking the foothills of the great Himalayas, I’ll be just a short walk away from the Laxman Jhula Bridge, the Ganges River, numerous temples, and Tapovan, the Forest of Meditation in Rishikesh where we’ll enjoy daily nature walks.
As much as I will be taking the time to be fully immersed in the program, I am there to photograph and record the process and will be sharing as I go. I’ve never been to India and simply cannot wait for what promises to be a spiritual and sensory onslaught.
