Tomorrow I will be attending the launch of Sonia Cabano and Jade de Waal’s cook book Luscious Vegetarian. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book, not only because I’m completely won over by the vivacious Jade and her Food Jams concept, but I’ve seen Sonia’s beautiful food creations.

I live in a house with a collection of much loved cook books, many dog-eared and sticky-fingered, others beautiful coffee table books where photography has turned food into an art. I treasure them all.

Only problem is that over the past few years, as I become more involved with conservation and animal rights activism, it has becomes more difficult for me to eat animal products and I don’t use many of them the way I used to.

A vegetarian cook book by these two fabulous ladies could therefore not be more timeous and I can’t wait to explore the world of healthy meat-free food heaven under their guidance. Will be getting my signed copy tomorrow night –  and intend on making it my friend!
