The UK and the USA are both popular destinations for holiday makers, each with its own charm, which means that choosing between the two is a difficult choice. Below are some pointers that could help you in that direction. For the most part though, it depends on your interests and what you want to do as a family during your trip.

Size Comparison.

Undoubtedly, the US is much bigger than the UK, and from a vacation standpoint, it gives you much more choices. If you are travelling to the US, you can see New York’s iconic skyline, the Everglades in Florida, the Grand Canyon in Arizona and so much more.

While you don’t have the same huge flexibility within the UK as you would in the U.S, what’s not to love about the cosmopolitan capital city of London, or other thriving cities such  Manchester or Birmingham.

However, if it’s a wholesome vacation you’re after, the US is a better choice. Also, there are abundant flights to the USA from any part of the world, making the journey there easier too.

A look at the History.

If you are a history buff, then the UK is the place for you. Its huge monuments, castles, towers and architectural elegance take you through several centuries. Each place has a rich history of its own, especially London, and this is the place to be if you want to spend your vacation exploring architecture too.

The US, on the other hand, is a relatively new country in comparison to the UK, so you won’t find much history except in places like Boston, New York and Virginia. So, when you want a tour through history, UK is the undisputed choice. No wonder you can catch a flight to the UK from everywhere, bringing history enthusiasts to these mesmerising locations.

Natural Beauty.

Both the US and the UK have many natural spots that are a must-see in every traveller’s list. The beautiful English and Scottish countryside is a sight to behold, and can transport you to a different world altogether. The US, on the other hand, has many scenic areas too such as the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellow Stone National Park and more. In this aspect, the winner would be both!
