Travel Massive at O on Kloof as we celebrate Pre-Mandela Day.

This past week we held our Winter Travel Massive event gathering at O on Kloof Boutique Hotel & Spa for a Pre-Mandela day celebration. It was one of the most stylish and elegant events we’ve enjoyed. There was delicious Prosecco on offer courtesy of Valdo Prosecco and our generous host Patrycja Oosthuizen put together some exciting goodie bags for everyone that attended.

With Mandela Tea to warm the hearts and souls of those who preferred a warm drink and a good spread of cheese and bread for the hungry, the crowd were animated in their chats, catchup and networking. There were even complimentary hand massages offered in the scented O on Kloof Spa, a big hit for those off a big day at work.

The talented jazz musician Miso Markovina added to the ambience with his sultry saxophone playing, and the crowd was introduced to the advantages of using Blue Ribbon Bags to track their luggage while travelling.

Our city hero for the night was The Haven Night Shelter WO Cape Town who focus on helping to keep homeless people off the streets. They invite volunteers and support and introduced their ‘Buy a Bed‘ option where for just R60 one homeless person can sleep in a bed for 5 nights. Such an easy way to make a difference.

Thank you to all for making it such a special night, and to Hein van Tonder of Heinstirred for capturing the fun to pics. You’ll find more on the FB page. Happy Mandela Day all, let’s remember to keep our hearts and minds focussed on the things that matters, our travel community and of course, our beautiful city.

  1. Wonderfully described, JORGENSEN. The pictures alone can convince me to give up everything and go to Iceland. I can only imagine what a beautiful experience it must’ve been for you. Something tells me I’m going to be a regular here
