There’s something magical about walking in the bush. Seeing tracks underfoot, encountering evidence of life everywhere. The smell of dust mixed with fresh vegetation and the burn of the African sun. Especially with a professional guide, armed for our protection. On a recent visit to Mountain Zebra National Park, this is exactly what Cheetah tracking gave me. Keeping an ever watchful eye out for rhino and buffalo, we tracked a rather pregnant 6-year-old cheetah who we found relaxing in the shade under a tree. Thank you to my guide Charl Lyell and www.sanparks.org for a special experience.
