In January I visited Lisbon for the first time. At a whim, to appease a need to see the Portuguese city I’d long dreamed of, I booked a ticket with TAAG, Angola’s airline that offers a direct connection from Cape Town Town to Luanda, and on directly into Lisbon. Convenient and incredibly affordable. Once I’d done that, I looked at areas and secured the most incredible Airbnb on Rua de São João da Praça in Alfama, my First Lisbon Airbnb Apartment.
There was everything to love about it. Location, service, setting and decor. If anybody needs the details, I can message them to you. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, perfect living area, and kitchen. Basically, this was winning at Airbnb and there’s nowhere else I’ll recommend.
The best part about this apartment is the location. I walked the area flat each day, popped downstairs to the little coffee shop for breakfast, made friends with the locals and really lived there during my ten-day stay. It was perfect.
Right in the heart of the old city and just one-minute walk to Si Cathedral where all the Tuk-Tuk tours are offered. Joanna is the most incredible hostess too, thank you for all that you did for me during my stay and hope to stay with you again. Anybody reading this and planning a trip to Lisbon, please look at this apartment as a delightful accommodation option.
